Judith Adams Workshop

A great time was had by all at the Judith Adams Workshop Hosted by Birmingham Smocking Arts Guild! I could only make it to the "Little Princess Pincushion" Class that was held on Friday night. This class goes fast (Judith would not let us take breaks.... ;-) She is a slave driver! LOL! We could not even go to the potty!!!! Well, we could if we needed to. ) We really got a lot done on this project. It also incorporated 'Vertical Smocking' and another vertical stitch that is Judith's own. Or at least, no one else has done it, so she can claim it. :-D

Judith's sample along with our beautiful BSAGA fob made by Sandi! Thank you Sandi!

See how much of the Pincushion that we got done!!! I just love this color of blue. And this silk is so nice to work with. I believe it is a type of shantung. Our kits came complete with silk cascade thread that Judith carries on her website and Mill House Beads. And off course the needles that we needed. Judith also has the needles special made and you can purchase them from her as well.

Thank you Charlotte for hosting us in your home.

Hopefully someone will post a report and photos about the Christening Gown Workshop that was Saturday and Sunday.
